I have been working in the massage therapy field since 2010, but even before then, I have been passionate about finding ways to enrich and heal the body, mind and soul through alternative means.  In the past, this showed itself in my commitment to educating myself and many others on our connection to the environment and our community.  I worked for over a decade as an environmental educator, a wilderness trip guide and a National Parks wilderness ranger!  Beginning a career in massage therapy 5 years ago, brought me full circle, to a place where I can now work one on one with individuals and their bodies to do much the same--enrich and heal-- and to utilize a natural approach to better health!

When I made the choice to go back to school to get my certification in massage therapy, I did so with the goal of pursuing a new career that I would enjoy going to everyday;  that would allow me the flexibility to spend quality time with my son;  and one that would provide me an unending source of knowledge seeking and skill development.  It has done just that and more for me!  I love the work I do and am extremely grateful that I get to make a living helping others Find Balance in their Bodies, while maintaining Balance in my own Life as well!

My initial training at the National Holistic Institute of Massage Therapy, in San Jose, CA, along with the variety of continuing education hours I have done over the last 5 years, has inspired me to focus in on the details of my work, using my extensive knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology to tailor each session to exactly what my client is after.  My training has also allowed me to expand my clientele to better meet the needs of Every Body, including becoming Certified as a Pre and Peri natal Massage Therapist.  I continue learning with every client and each unique body that lies on my table, honing my techniques, as well as my intuitive touch so that I can most appropriately help my clients resolve their pain, or simply to provide nurturing and relaxation.

Whatever stage of life you are in, wherever and however your body moves you, I look forward to working with you to help you Find Balance in Your Body!

With Peace and Gratitude,

                                           April Disheroon, CMT
